The real-time PvP action game also introduces Arena Lab, Smash Pass Chapter 2, new skins and more

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. – May 11, 2022 – 5minlab, the independent studio recently acquired by KRAFTON Inc., announced that the real-time PvP action game SMASH LEGENDS received an update that went live on May 10 and introduced a new mode called Arena Lab, Smash Pass Chapter 2: “Ready for the Beat!” that adds Wukong (the 28th Legend in SMASH LEGENDS), new character skins and more.

See below for a breakdown of major additions that are live in SMASH LEGENDS’ May update:

• Smash Pass Chapter 2: “Ready for the Beat!!” – The latest Smash Pass is now available for Smashers to purchase. Players who purchase the newest Smash Pass will receive SMASH LEGENDS’ 28th Legend, Wukong, upon reaching stage 10 in the pass. Smashers will be able to utilize Wukong’s “Master of the Staff” and other special skills.

• Arena Lab – Smashers now have a new way to play various modes that are unavailable in the current weekly mode rotation. Arena Lab brings All or Nothing, Hide and Seek, and Magic Fortune Cookie, a new mode created by the new Escort mode with existing popular modes. Arena Lab is open to players who are Smasher Level seven or higher and each mode in Arena Lab will be available for one week on rotation. 

• Hellion Skins – Cindy, Nui and Snow have all received a new theme, Hellion Skin. Players who equip the Hellion Skin can enjoy exclusive in-game effects and spotlight effects for the characters with the newest theme.

• Official SMASH LEGENDS Discord Server – To celebrate the latest update, SMASH LEGENDS is hosting an event to offer 5,000 credits to players who join SMASH LEGENDS’ official Discord server. Players can enjoy additional community content including finding a SMASH LEGENDS party, sharing fan art and posting highlight clips with other fellow Smashers in the server.

As a real-time PvP action game, SMASH LEGENDS offers quick matches with short play times and intuitive controls, contributing to more than 5.5 million downloads worldwide. The game offers 28 charming characters (called Legends) based on unique interpretations of popular fairy tales, four modes (Dominion, Battle Royale, Duel, Competitive Match) and supports cross-play on both \mobile and PC (Steam) devices as a multiplatform title.
